Unofficial guide for YouTube Live - Part 3: Create a New Event From a Past One

Part 3 explains creating a new event using a past event as a template. It's a fast and simple way to get your events setup for the following week. The result will be a new event identical to a past one, including thumbnail (if used), Stream Key, and so on, with just a few clicks.

The only difference is, it will create a different link for playback, which is actually a win-win. If your events are Public, people visiting your YT channel will just click on their ward's meeting without worrying about the actual link involved. If your events are Unlisted, then you will want a fresh viewing link anyway to send out weekly to people who need it.

Thanks for putting together this guide series @Milerowaved! We've been using OBS with the Church's webcasting service (Azure Cloud), so changing the RTMP streams to point to YouTube instead would be a minor adjustment for us. The thing I'm not crazy about is having to manually schedule YT live events every week since recurring events don't seem possible - that's one nice part of the Church's Azure cloud environment and of Zoom Webinars. It will be nice to have a single landing place (the Stake's YT channel) where members can find all events (like the Church's Azure cloud webcast portal offered). The YT "DVR" feature will be nice for those who join a little late to rewind to the beginning of the webcast and catch the announcements (something you don't get with the Zoom webinars), and it'll be nice to have the option to keep Stake Conference events up for a few days for members to watch or rewatch (not an option with the church Zoom license). Definitely some pros and cons to consider between YT and Zoom.
