The Personal Progress site is actually up, however all but one thing does not link to it.

Browsing the beta.lds.org home page archive for June (page 2), there's a link to the Personal Progress site:
https://beta.lds.org/young-women/personal-progress?locale=eng

The official page, and official word seems to be that it's "coming soon" however as several people have commented here, and as noted at personalprogress.lds.org.

I'm still not seeing the Duty to God interactive book online. Anyone know when it will be available? The dutytogod.lds.org web site states it will be available in English by mid-September.

Ah, but no year was mentioned, so it could be 11 months away :). I don't know any details, except that it is a software project, and delays happen.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Access list for Personal Progress site?

#14

Post by danielpurdie »

Does anyone know which callings are able to access the leadership portion of the Personal Progress site?

Our YW president can access it, as can parents, but our ward has a YW specialist in charge of Personal Progress, and when logged in she can't view any of the leadership menus on the site.

She had been set in a custom position as there's no standardised position responsible for PP. To troubleshoot it, we put her in a spare standardised position (YW Assistant camp director) but she still can't see the leadership features.

Does anyone know which YW callings are able to access the leadership features on the site?

I came here looking for the exact same information. My ward has a personal progress specialist, and we really want her to be able to utilize the new online tracking as well as being able to sign off on the YW who complete requirements.

Personal Progress online is live

The new Young Women Personal Progress website is fully up and operational at http://personalprogress.lds.org.

The recent addition of a Getting Started page and a Frequently Asked Questions page will likely answer many of your questions. In a pre-login state, all the contents of the handbook can be viewed, including these two pages just mentioned. Young women, YW leaders, and parents will need to sign in with their LDS Account to fully participate in the online tracking and journal features.

Pay particular note to FAQ #11, which lists the leaders that have Personal Progress approval status. These are all standard MLS positions. Some wards have created custom personal progress specialist positions in MLS; however, these are not recognized by the application. It is my understanding that the General Young Women Office does not encourage wards and stakes in calling personal progress specialists—expecting that Young Women presidencies and advisers will manage Personal Progress in the ward and stake—and so does not plan to accommodate them for Online Personal Progress. If a ward still intends to have this position, a workaround might be to ask the ward clerk to enter the specialist as another YW secretary.

The problem with this is that MLS only allows one YW secretary at any one time.

Multiple advisers are allowed in MLS

Ah, you are correct--MLS only allows one person to be assigned to the standard calling of Young Women secretary. However, multiple advisers are allowed.

Changing dates

#19

Post by jenny_smith »

My YW president is wondering if there's any way to change the dates on Personal Progress items. Some of our newly registered girls have completed items, and she'd like to be able to change the dates on their items to reflect their actual completed date, not today's date.

Also, currently the system only allows tracking for youth who have registered. Will Leaders be able to use the system to track unregistered youth? Can that tracking move from ward to ward?

Also, regarding Personal Progress advisers, the new handbook states that YW secretaries track personal progress. The presidency is encouraged to also work on Personal Progress and to encourage girls to work on it. Advisers may also be used to help track Progress. I looked at this and do not see my daughter listed for our ward. Is this something that the ward YW leader must "kick start" to begin working? I'm asking 'cuz generally people in my ward look to me to figure out the new tech stuff (exec sec coupled with tech), and I want our ward to start using it but not sure how to help our YW president start.

I also noticed that the DTG site seems to be up and running, and it lets ME add information for MY DTG (apparently), though I am the parent, not the YM. I like that possibility to help men work on DTG for themselves alongside the sons/youth as parents/advisers. But don't see where the parent or leader would "sign off" for the YM.

Also don't understand how the bishop could review and see the individual progress.
