Welcome Letter for New Technology Specialists

This letter is sent to all newly called Technology Specialists and outlines the resources available to support them in learning and fulfilling their responsibilities.

New Technology Specialist,

We congratulate you on your new calling as a Technology Specialist for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Regardless of whether you were called by your Stake President, District President, or by your Bishop, we are so grateful

for your willingness to serve. This is an important calling that can significantly bless the lives of leaders and members in

your local units.  

We invite you to get started by going to our introductory training website on the Help Center. Go to the pull-down

menu on the left channel called “Meetinghouse Technology.”  These articles will give you an Overview of your calling and

the technologies you will be servicing. Here you will find best practices, standards, and tips on how to have success in your

calling. The section called "My Calling as a Technology Specialist" and “Meetinghouse Technology Training,” will be of

most valuable to you as a new Technology Specialist. However, each article in this section is designed to help you quickly

learn your duty and the resources available to assist you.  

 For technical issues that arise in your meetinghouses, most can be resolved by using the information in the Help Center. 

However, there will be times when you need technical ‘How-To” information. You can access the Tech Wiki for that kind of

support info.

If you are unable to find the information you need in the Tech Wiki, come out to the Tech Forum.  This is a community of

Tech Specialists who support one another with answers to unique or challenging issues posted by other Tech Specialists.
